Benefits of yoga
There are so many amazing benefits to yoga, including physical, spiritual, emotional, and mental.
Yoga asanas help gently stretch and exercise joints of the body, including joints you probably don't use regularly. Yoga exercises can strengthen problem joints such as the knees, hips, and ankles. Because yoga also exercises ligaments and tendons, your joints will lubricate more effectively, reducing joint pain.
You may even find that yoga relieves some of the joint pain you’ve had for years simply because it’s stretching and bringing energy to other areas of the body that seem as if they’d be unrelated to the pain you’ve been experiencing.
Yoga practice also leads to increased spinal flexibility and core strength, both of which can reduce chronic problems such as lower back pain and increase your overall physical strength. Maintaining a healthy and flexible spine is an important key to anti-aging and vitality.
